3D Printer

The LCD enclosure and its top cover are printed parts. Print them in a high-temp filament: ABS, ASA, PC or PA nylon. High-temp PETG works too. PLA is not suitable.

Soldering Iron

The enclosure takes 4 threaded brass inserts for the M3 hinge screws. A heat-set insert kit is essential, preferably a soldering iron held in a press, so each insert seats straight and flush.

Screwdriver + hex bit set

Must include a 2.0mm Phillips (PH00) bit for the camera body, plus M2 and M3 hex bits for the socket screws below: 1 set.

Your preference: iFixit, Wera, or a generic 24-in-1 bit driver.

Plastic spudger

Nylon, for seam splitting and FPC lifting.

Any electronics spudger set.

Scissors

Trimming tape and cloth: 1.

Heat-set insertion kit

Soldering iron + threaded-insert tips, for setting the M3 brass inserts into the LCD housing: 1 kit.

Any heat-set insert kit: iFixit or a generic M3 tip set.

Backplate

CNC-machined 6061 aluminium rear plate: 1.

FRAM3 MOD file: CNC it yourself or send it to a shop. See Step 02.

Screen housing

High-temp 3D print, LCD housing: 1.

FRAM3 MOD file: print in PC, PA-CF, or ABS. See Before You Start.

Friction hinges, left + right
